Food drive: Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church is holding a drive-thru food collection from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7 in its upper parking lot, 17010 Pomerado Road. The drive benefits the 4 Community Care food pantry that serves seniors and families living within the Poway Unified School District boundaries dealing with food insecurity. Needed are canned meals, soups, fruit, vegetables, and meats; pasta and pasta sauces; mac & cheese; peanut butter, jelly, cereal and oatmeal. Free food: Lifebridge Church will hold its monthly food distribution from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7 in its lower parking lot, 17645 W. Bernardo Drive in Rancho Bernardo. The food distribution is made possible through Buckheart Ranch, a San Diego Food Bank agency. Recipients usually get boxed foods, canned goods and fresh produce.
