LONG BEACH – The family of Myrah Hunter have established a GoFundMe fundraiser after she was tragically killed in Long Beach on Mar. 2.

I am the Mother of Myrah Hunter. Unfortunately my daughter Myrah was involved in a horrific tragedy and she succumbed to her injuries. She was very intelligent, loving and caring. She was full of life and all the love she received at this young age she showed to others. Her smile lit up every room. She loved to sing and dance and color. She was the most amazing little girl anyone could ever ask for! My rainbow baby! Her life was cut way too short.

55-year-old Lamont Ivan Russell was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter following the crash that killed Myrah who was sitting on the porch with her brother, aunt and cousin.

I am asking for donations to help with any medical expenses and any unforeseen expenses to help keep us afloat as I take a step back from work to focus on my daughters arrangements , as well as still caring for my 9 month old son.

The family is seeking to raise $20,000.
