Grete Gull of Hawai’i won a singles and doubles match in conference play to earn The Big West Women’s Tennis Player of the Week honor. It is Gull’s first career weekly honor. 


The freshman helped Hawai’i to a 5-2 win over Long Beach State on Saturday.  


In No. 1 doubles, Gull and partner Sophie Rachor defeated LBSU’s Cecilia Costa and Paulina Franco, 6-3, 


In No. 1 singles, Gull took down Costa in three sets, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1


Hawai’i has a record of 4-4 on the year, 2-2 in conference play. Gull is 3-3, all at the No. 1 singles position.
