San Francisco police reported two fatal shootings in the city in the past week:

• Around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, a person was shot in the 100 block of Sixth Street, in the South of Market neighborhood. The victim was pronounced dead at a hospital.

• Around 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, two people were shot near Dakota and 25th streets, in the Potrero Hill public housing neighborhood. One of them died at the scene, and the other was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A third person, a juvenile, was taken by another party to a hospital for treatment of superficial injuries, police said. That person had not been shot.

The fatal shooting was the fifth homicide reported in San Francisco in February.
