Britney Spears was arrested in California on Wednesday night for an alleged DUI.

The “Toxic” singer, 44, “has been released” from custody, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office’s online records.

Records show Spears — whose occupation is merely listed as “celebrity” — was arrested just before 9:30 p.m. local time and booked just after 3 a.m. Thursday. It’s unclear what time she was released.

Spears’ arrest, made by California Highway Patrol, was first reported by TMZ.

The news broke hours after the outlet reported that Spears had newly secured a permanent restraining order against an alleged stalker.

Spears was infamously held in a conservatorship for 13 years before a judge terminated it in November 2021.

A representative for Spears did not immediately respond to the Daily News’ request for comment.
