OROVILLE, Calif. — A Sacramento man was arrestedby the Butte County Sheriff’s Office following an investigation for sexually assaulting two minors in Butte County. 23-year-old Sacramento man, Hasan Alshammari, was identified as the suspect following an investigation on Wednesday.
According to BCSO, detectives uncovered evidence linking Alshammari to the assault of a minor victim. Further investigation revealed evidence that Alshammari had also sexually assaulted a second minor victim in February 2026.
Detectives obtained both an arrest warrant for Alshammari and a search warrant for his home. BCO detectives went to Sacramento and worked with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office on the case.
On Thursday morning, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team conducted the search warrant at Alshammari’s home. Alshammari was then taken into custody.
Alshammari was booked into the Butte County Jail on multiple felony counts, including rape and robbery.
