Kinh Van Le

OBITUARY

On this day, October 13, the anniversary of his passing, we honor the memory of Kinh Van Le.

Mr. Le’s calling was to be a beloved husband and father. Coming from a war-devastated Vietnam, he immigrated to America to build a life for himself and his future. He sacrificed to provide new opportunities for himself and his future family. Kinh instilled in his family the structure to successfully grow and mature. He is forever in our hearts.

Born in Vietnam in the 1940s, he cared for his family. He cared for his community. He attended the prestigious military academy in Vietnam, known as Tu Thang De Chi Huy. Mr. Le became a soldier in Vietnam. He achieved the rank of Captain in the South Vietnamese Army and helped South Vietnamese people escape the North Communist regime in Vietnam.

His future wife, Thulan [Tran] Le saw his courage as well as many other qualities in him, and they fell in love. They left Vietnam in search of freedom and opportunity, temporarily settling in Canada and getting married. The newly married couple then made Southern California their home, where a large Vietnamese-American community was then being established. He decided to raise a family in Long Beach. He worked tirelessly as a shop worker and eventually established himself as a business owner.

His successful business, Nails By Le, which he owned and operated with his wife, Thulan Le thrived. Kinh employed many people throughout the decades. He enabled many of his employees establish successful, secure lives.

Kinh Le had two children, Michael Le (b. 1985) and Tony Le (b. 1983); both were born in Long Beach, CA. Kinh devoted his time and energy to create opportunities for his family to pursue dreams. He was a beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, friend, son and human being.

Kinh Van Le passed in Long Beach, CA and his funeral was held during October 2007, in Westminster, CA. His memorialization is in the Peek Funeral Home section of Westminster Memorial Park.
