A two-vehicle collision led to a subsequent crash involving a third car on Saturday morning in Fresno.

Police said the initial crash happened at 11:19 a.m. when a black Dodge van and a white Chevrolet SUV were traveling eastbound on Ashlan Avenue from Cornelia.

Police said the Dodge van changed lanes and struck the Chevrolet SUV.

Following the crash, a verbal disturbance reportedly occurred between the two drivers. During the confrontation, the driver of the Dodge van left the scene, turning southbound onto Brawley Avenue, police said.

As the situation unfolded, a third vehicle — a Toyota Prius — swerved and struck a nearby AT&T utility pole.

Police reported no ejections or injuries in any of the incidents.

Police later identified the driver of the Dodge van and issued citations for misdemeanor hit-and-run and driving with a suspended license.

The investigation remains ongoing.
