LSU baseball fell to Sacramento State at home on Saturday afternoon, falling short in the 9th inning for a 5-4 final.

After an offensive outburst on Friday night, LSU’s lineup returned to a slump. The Tigers were held scoreless over the first seven innings, only totaling one hit in that span.

Even when the Tigers eventually scored three in the 8th, LSU only found one hit.

Cooper Moore started the game and allowed one run over 4.1 innings of work. The pitch count was getting up there and Jay Johnson went to the bullpen in the fifth inning.

Moore was relieved by Ethan Plog, who did his job with 2.2 scoreless innings.
