WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH IS UNDERWAY IN AN EVENT GIVING FREE RESOURCES TO WOMEN AND GIRLS RIGHT HERE IN THE CAPITAL CITY. THE FREE WOMEN AND GIRLS FESTIVAL TOOK PLACE AT SACRAMENTO CITY COLLEGE EARLIER TODAY. THERE WERE ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS, 100 LOCAL VENDORS AND PERFORMANCES. COMMUNITY RESOURCES INCLUDING EMPLOYMENT, FINANCIAL LITERACY AND HEALTH SCREENINGS WERE ALSO AVAILABLE. WOMEN ARE SO BUSY. GIRLS ARE SO BUSY. WE WANTED TO MAKE SURE TO HAVE A PLACE THAT’S A ONE STOP SHOP. IF THEY WANT SOMETHING ABOUT EDUCATION, IF THEY WANT SOMETHING ABOUT WOMEN’S SERVICES, IF THEY WANT SOMETHING ABOUT JOBS, THEY CAN JUST GO HERE IN ONE SPOT, ONE SPOT, AND GO WALK AROUND AND LOOK AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT TRAVELING TO MULTIPLE LOCATIONS BECAUSE ALL THE ORGANIZATIONS ARE ALL IN ONE PLACE.
