LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Women’s Golf returns to action beginning Monday at the GameAbove Invitational, co-hosted by USC and Eastern Michigan at Rolling Hills Country Club.

Featuring some of the elite teams in the country, the 11-team field will play two rounds on Monday, March 9 before one final round on Tuesday, March 10. Long Beach State is one of 10 teams ranked in the Top 100 entering the tournament, that includes three teams in the Top 5 in No. 2 USC, No. 3 Oregon and No. 4 Texas A&M.

The rest of the field features UCLA, Arizona, SMU, Eastern Michigan, Colorado, Tulsa and Hawai’i.

Junior Erin Lee tops the lineup for the Beach. A top-three finisher at last year’s Big West Championship and the individual co-champion in Long Beach State’s dual with San Diego State, Lee is one of three upperclassman golfers averaging under 75 strokes per round this season for the Beach.

Emma Kang had the strongest close to February for the team, and will play second. The junior transfer was the team’s top finish at the Bruin Wave Invitational and had a Top 20 finish at the Alice and John Wallace Women’s Golf Classic, Long Beach State’s home tournament.

Senior Madison Le will play third for Long Beach State. Le’s best finish this season came at the Molly Collegiate Invitational in Corvallis, Ore., and the senior is the only golfer for the Beach this season to be under 80 in every round this season, highlighting her consistency.

Alyson Sor had her best finish of the season at the Alice and John Wallace Women’s Golf Classic, leading Long Beach State with a Top 15 finish after three straight rounds of 73. Freshman Chloe Park will then round out the lineup, earning a spot after not competing at the Bruin Wave Invitational.
