The San Diego Police Department is conducting a suspicious death investigation in the 6300 block of Genesee Ave. in University City following the death of an 81-year-old woman Friday night.
Authorities say call came in for a woman found unconscious and not breathing inside her apartment by family members, according to an SDPD press release.
The department says first responders found the woman unresponsive and positioned awkwardly on a bed.
Due to the unusual circumstances detectives from the San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit are taking over the investigation.
