A 31-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested Sunday night after Pasadena police officers discovered a stolen vehicle and multiple firearms, including a loaded Glock 45 handgun and an unloaded AK-47, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Anthony Russo.
Russo said officers responded at 9:59 p.m. March 8 to the 2800 block of East Colorado Boulevard regarding a suspicious vehicle with a single occupant.
Officers ran the license plate and determined the car had been reported stolen out of Los Angeles.
The officers approached and spoke with the driver, identified as Jacob Carre, 31, of Los Angeles. Russo said Carre told officers he was staying at a nearby motel. With Carre’s consent, officers searched his room and found the loaded Glock 45 handgun and the unloaded AK-47 rifle.
Russo confirmed the Glock was loaded but did not provide details on whether a round was chambered. No drugs were found during the search, and Carre did not resist officers during the arrest.
Carr was booked in Pasadena on suspicion of grand theft auto and weapons-related offenses.
