FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Police responded to a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision in Fresno Sunday night.

It happened at the intersection of Maple and Tulare Avenues around 8:15 p.m.

Officers arrived and found the victim with head and face injuries, but he was awake.

Emergency medical personnel arrived and transported him to Community Medical Center.

The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Witness reports the pedestrian was crossing the street inside the crosswalk, but investigators have not determined who was at fault.

The victim is listed in stable condition.
