THE WHAT? Olive Young has opened its first distribution center in North America in California, marking a key step in the K-beauty retailer’s expansion into the U.S. market.

THE DETAILS The new 3,600-square-meter (38,570-square-foot) facility is located in Bloomington near San Bernardino, about an hour from Los Angeles. The center will serve as the main logistics hub for Olive Young’s U.S. operations and is positioned about 50 miles from Pasadena, where the retailer will open its first U.S. brick-and-mortar store in May.

The company plans to expand the facility as demand grows and is also considering opening an additional distribution center on the U.S. East Coast to strengthen nationwide coverage. The hub will also support Korean beauty brands entering the American market, including those featured in Sephora’s “K-Beauty Zone,” by assisting with customs processes, inventory management and delivery.

THE WHY? The distribution center is designed to support Olive Young’s growing K-beauty demand in North America while building the logistics infrastructure needed to scale retail expansion and support partner brands entering the U.S. market.
