At least five employees were hospitalized after experiencing dizziness and shortness of breath, the Anaheim Fire Department confirmed.

Disneyland officials told NBC materials used by a contractor had produced a reaction backstage. As a precaution, nearby onstage areas were temporarily closed and cleared of guests, though officials said those areas were expected to reopen shortly.

Several cast members who experienced minor symptoms were treated on site by paramedics and released. No guests were hospitalized because of the incident.

In order to prevent guests from getting close to the area of the odor, cast members formed a wall, blocking guest entry to The Star Trader shop. Guest were also evacuated off of nearby rides, according to WDW News Today.

Space Mountain was among the rides closed, as were the Space Mountain Bathrooms, in addition to the top of Star Wars Launch Bay, according to the report.
