BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Hard Rock Casino Tejon marked the upcoming opening of Kern County’s newest sheriff’s substation by honoring Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood and Fire Chief Aaron Duncan with custom guitars.

Casino President Chris Kelley said the substation is funded by the Tejon Tribe and will serve not only the casino but the surrounding community as well. It will be located at 7357 Wild Flower Street, near the casino.
Officials said the fire and sheriff’s buildings will be connected but will have separate spaces.
During the event, Kelly said, “As a welcome to the ‘Hard Rock Casino Tejon band,’ and as an opening note and an opening note to our shared futures together, thank you both.”
