LOS ANGELES, California — Actor Mickey Rourke has been kicked out of his home because of nearly $60,000 in unpaid rent, just months after he turned down thousands of dollars raised in an effort to prevent the eviction.

People magazine reports a judge ruled Monday in favor of the landlord in the case against Rourke, canceling the rental agreement and forfeiting the lease. Rourke, 73, did not respond to the lawsuit, according to People.

Page Six reports Rourke was seen removing items from the home in January, with a rental truck in the driveway. He had moved into a hotel in West Hollywood, according to Page Six.

In January, a fundraiser was set up on GoFundMe by Rourke’s manager to help him cover the back rent. However, Rourke said he had nothing to do with the fundraiser and refused to accept the money.

“Somebody set up some kind of foundation or fund for me to donate money like charity, and that’s not me, OK?” Rourke said. “That’s not my style.” He urged donors to reclaim their money.

Rourke’s career has been a roller coaster over nearly five decades. He has starred in critically acclaimed films such as “Diner,” “The Pope of Greenwich Village,” “Sin City” and “The Wrestler,” for which he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor.

According to IMDb.com, he has six upcoming projects.

“Mickey has received many offers in the last few days, is attached to a number of projects, and is even developing his own property in the form of a graphic novel deal with Jay Firestone and Prodigy Pictures,” said Rourke’s manager, Kimberly Hines, according to Entertainment Weekly.
