BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — 14 people were arrested after a multi-agency enforcement operation in Oildale on Monday.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said on March 9, 2026, deputies with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Metro Patrol Division, along with members of Kern County Code Compliance, Kern County Mental Health, and Flood Ministries, conducted direct enforcement in the Oildale area.

KCO said during the operation, eight felony and six misdemeanor arrests were made.

Waste and debris from the area were removed.

Deputies also recovered a large amount of copper wire and Rural Crimes Investigation Unit was called out to assist.

In a social media post, it said, “The Kern County Sheriff’s Office, along with support from Supervisor Jeff Flores’s Office, remains committed to working collaboratively with county partners and community organizations to address public safety concerns, reduce crime, and improve quality of life for residents throughout Kern County.”
