BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The man accused of shooting and killing another man in Oildale turned himself in Oregon.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Steven Quick turned himself in to the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon.
Eyewitness News has reached out to the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office for additional information.

Quick is accused of shooting and killing a person next to the Long-branch Saloon in Oildale on March 7, 2026.
The Long-branch Saloon identified the victim on social media as Jason Hall.

In a social media post, the saloon said in part:
