The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said it has increased patrols around houses of worship in the region in the wake of recent violent incidents that have targeted religious communities.In the latest incident, a man armed with a rifle rammed a vehicle into one of the nation’s largest Reform Jewish synagogues in Michigan on Thursday.Security at the synagogue opened fire as the attacker drove through a hallway, killing him. In the latest incident, a man armed with a rifle rammed a vehicle into one of the nation’s largest Reform Jewish synagogues in Michigan on Thursday.

Security at the synagogue opened fire as the attacker drove through a hallway, killing him.
