Actor, musician and CHLA supporter John Stamos attended Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’ 11th annual Make March Matter kick-off event with his wife Kaitlin Stamos to celebrate the start of the month-long fundraising campaign supporting children’s health in Los Angeles. The “Full House” alum was joined by CHLA President and CEO Paul Viviano, CHLA SVP and CDO Alexandra Carter and Pierce, a past patient who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia at age 2 and received a lifesaving bone marrow transplant at CHLA.

During the conference, Stamos delivered personal remarks and shared his own personal journey that led him to CHLA with son, Billy.

“When you become a parent, something shifts in you,” Stamos said. “Suddenly, your heart is outside your body, and you realize how fragile life can be, and how fiercely you would do anything to protect your child. So, just knowing Children’s Hospital Los Angeles exists right here in our community, brings the kind of comfort that is hard to put in words for me.”

Later in the day, John and Caitlin went on a hospital visit and made friendship bracelets, played in a heated Uno match and celebrated a patient’s birthday by recording a sweet message on his phone.

Make March Matter is an annual campaign that rallies businesses to support Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in a variety of fun ways. Make an impact simply by shopping, dining or attending an event with a Make March Matter partner. All funds raised during the month-long campaign will support CHLA and patients.
