Carnival Cruise Line has rolled out a new, quicker dining experience on 15 of its ships, including three that set sail from Long Beach.

Dubbed “Express Dining,” the onboard pilot program offers a “freshly prepared multi-course dinner experience in under an hour” for groups of six or fewer guests in each ship’s main dining room.

So far, the faster dining option is available on these ships that sail from Long Beach:

Carnival Radiance: With capacity for 2,984 guests, this ship sails to Hawaii and Mexico on cruises that last 2-5 days, 6-9 days, or more than 10 days.

Carnival Panomara: This ship, which holds 4,008 guests, sails from Long Beach to Mexico on cruises that last 2-5 days and 6-9 days.

Carnival Firenze: With room for 4,126 guests, this ship offers cruises that last 2-5 days, 6-9 days, and more than 10 days to the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada/New England, the Caribbean, Mexico, and South America. In addition to sailing from Long Beach, Carnival Firenze also sails from: San Antonio, Chile; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Miami; Manhattan; and Florida’s Port Canaveral.

In a press release, the company said that while the streamlined service option is designed to reduce service time, Express Dining still features a curated menu that mirrors the main dining offerings, although with a “slightly abbreviated selection.”

Some of the available signature dishes include filet mignon, grilled lambchops, and Chocolate Melting Cake. The program can accommodate guests’ special dietary requests, too.

Guests booked under Your Time Dining can opt into the service through Carnival’s HUB App.

Carnival Cruise Line president Christine Duffy said Express Dining is designed to give guests more flexibility and time to enjoy other onboard fun.

The company plans to implement Express Dining across its full fleet by the end of May.
