SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KGO) — The Bay Area Travel & Adventure Show at the Santa Clara Convention Center brings celebrity travelers, destination experts, and vacation deals together under one roof. This year’s event happens Saturday, March 21 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 22 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Jonathan Golicz, VP, Travel & Adventure Show, shared about America’s favorite travel show.

“It’s your only opportunity in the country, and especially in the Bay Area, to meet tens of thousands of the top destinations and vacation options from around the world,” said Golicz. “Anything from tour operators and international destinations like Taiwan to cruising, like Celebrity Cruises, even international airlines like Cathay Pacific.”

“You have the opportunity as a traveler to come to the show, speak to the experts face-to-face, and find your trip at a price you can’t find anywhere else,” said Golicz “I tell people, leave your bucket list at home because you might be wandering the aisles looking at a trip to Alaska and you walk away with a South African safari. You might be looking at a Viking river cruise through Europe, but you end up on an expedition cruise with that. There are ocean voyages going through Antarctica. There’s a wealth of information on the floor.”

“There are hundreds of exhibitors that are ready to help you find, plan, personalize your next trip,” said Golicz. “It’s under one roof and it’s all included with your ticket. Another expert piece of advice for the travel show as an attendee, talk to the exhibitors because they’re giving away deals, specials, you could win a trip to anywhere in the world with some of our exhibitors. There’s really a wealth of information, a wealth of knowledge, like I said, that you can’t find anywhere else.”

“We have the top travel experts from all over the world. Phil Rosenthal, the host of Netflix’s “Watch Somebody Feed Phil,” and Peter Greenberg, CBS News travel editor, is going to be giving everyone tips and tricks on how to avoid the pitfalls that take place in our travels,” said Golicz. “And then there’s Angel Castellanos. He travels to 109 different countries. He travels seven months out of the year. He’s going to teach you about travel technology, travel safety, packing tips, and just overall travel expertise that you’re not going to find in a guidebook or online anywhere else.”

“Everyone talks about AI right now and how big of a travel tool that is. It is a great tool for planning, but you don’t get that face-to-face conversation and that personalized experience,” said Golicz. “If you’re a family of four looking for a relaxing trip on the coast of Mexico, maybe going to Cabo, you have the opportunity to talk to the rep in the booth who can find the exact itinerary for you that works within your budget. Not everything’s one size fits all in travel, we all know that, but this is the place to get the expert information that are from the local destinations or the hotels or the airlines or cruise lines who can put together an itinerary that works just for you.”
