Oakland County Restaurant Quest: Nashville Detroit in White Lake

White Lake, MI – In the mood for some hearty Southern cooking? Nashville Detroit is a popular carryout spot in White Lake with exactly that.

Items at Nashville Detroit are made from scratch with simple ingredients and packed with flavor.

I got two meals for my restaurant quest because it was so difficult to chose. I started with the Fried Walleye Sandwich, featuring a generous piece of breaded fish with pickle, cole slaw, and Nashville sauce. I also got a side of mac n cheese, made with thick noodles and cheese sauce.

For the next meal I got Chicken N’Two – a combo meal with two fried chicken breasts over mashed potatoes and cornbread stuffing with a side of chicken gravy. The chicken was amazing, and there was enough food for leftovers. The stuffing was soft and buttery, and I also had a side of crispy, sweet cole slaw.

There are many intriguing items on the Nashville Detroit menu, including Nashville Hot Chicken Fritters, Catfish Bites, Bang Bang Fried Shrimp, Pulled Pork Mac and more. The Potato Piggy Soup has diced potatoes, chopped bacon, and slow-cooked pulled pork. And there are even Taco Tuesday specials.
