At Friday’s gathering, friends and family shared food, stories and memories while celebrating Hall’s life. Those close to him said his life wasn’t always easy, but in recent years he worked hard to turn things around.
“He was a walking testimony. He showed people that no matter where you come from, you can turn your life around,” Peterson said. Avley echoed that message, saying, “Even though you make bad choices, you can turn your life around and accomplish your goals if you put your mind to it.”
Friends said they hope the community will remember Hall for his kindness and the way he cared for those around him.
