Kids were able to explore fire trucks, police cars, military vehicles and equipment from local businesses that lined Jeff Davis Avenue.
“It’s really showing them day-to-day opportunities that they can experience when they get older,” Long Beach Chamber of Commerce Director Anna Clare Perronne said. “You know, they don’t get to see this all the time; they see it on TV and all of that, but they can actually see it and they can feel it and they can, you know, they can look up and say one day, this is what they dream to do.”

Junior Husband, owner of Husband Roofing & Contracting, said children were drawn to the heavy equipment and different sights and sounds.
“They love to raise the dump trailer up and down, push the buttons on the tractor, you know, the kids just love the equipment,” Husband said.
