The baseball team from California City High School continued a strong start to the season with two decisive victories last week, overpowering both North Bakersfield High School and Eastside High School in back-to-back matchups.

On March 4, the Ravens faced North Bakersfield and quickly established control of the game. California City dominated from the opening inning, shutting down North Bakersfield’s offense and preventing them from getting on the scoreboard.

Strong pitching and consistent hitting helped the Ravens maintain momentum throughout the game, leading to a commanding 11–0 victory.

The Ravens carried that momentum into their next game on March 6 against Eastside Lancaster. Once again, California City’s offense proved difficult to contain, as the team racked up runs early and continued to apply pressure throughout the matchup.

Despite Eastside Lancaster managing to score five runs, the Ravens’ powerful offense proved too much to overcome. California City finished the game with an impressive 18–5 win, securing their second dominant victory of the week.

With strong performances on both sides of the field, the Ravens continue to build confidence as the season moves forward.
