Two people were shot overnight on Sunday at a Fresno apartment complex.
Officers arrived at the Colonia Del Sol Apartments on Barstow Avenue, near Blackstone Avenue, just before 1 a.m. after receiving calls of multiple shots fired.
Fresno Police Lt. Marcus Gray II said officers found a man in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. EMS provided aid to the victim and located a second shooting victim nearby.
Both victims were taken to a local hospital, and their condition is unknown.
In an update Sunday, police said one person was killed and another was injured. Police will provide more details on Monday.
What led up to the shooting is unknown, Gray II said.
“We’re really early in the investigation,” he said. “We don’t have information to provide at this time on a suspect, a motive, or any gang affiliation.
