2 people hospitalized after shooting at Northwest Fresno apartment complex

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Two people were taken to the hospital Saturday after a shooting at an apartment complex in Northwest Fresno, according to police.

Officers responded shortly before 1 p.m. to reports of gunfire near Barstow and San Pablo Avenue.

When they arrived, police found one person suffering from gunshot wounds and provided medical aid.

Paramedics arrived shortly after and located a second victim.

Both individuals were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

“Right now, we are really early in the investigation and we don’t have information to provide at this time on a suspect, a motive, or any gang affiliation,” Lt. Marcus Gray said.

No additional information has been released.

The investigation remains ongoing.
