Officers found 32-year-old Shannon Ivory in the carport with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. A second victim, a 22-year-old man, was found on the upstairs landing with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Officers and EMS personnel provided first aid to both victims before transporting them to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The 22-year-old man was listed in stable condition, but Ivory did not survive his injuries.

Homicide detectives said both victims arrived at the location, and a disturbance began between them and another resident of the apartment complex.

During the disturbance, an unknown man associated with the other resident pulled a gun and fired several shots at both victims, detectives said.

Police said the suspect left in a vehicle, traveling eastbound on Barstow Avenue.

Detectives searched the neighborhood for witnesses and surveillance videos.
