Rumors about pop singer Olivia Rodrigo dropping new music have mostly been speculation, but a new release seems closer to reality.
On Friday, March 13, fans on social media noticed that her new “OR” logo, which debuted on her website, was also spotted on a Los Angeles mural. The artwork, located at 7010 Melrose Ave., seemed like a callback to “Sour,” her debut album.
The mural, along with several posters of the same color, also appeared around the city, causing fans on social media to go into a frenzy of excitement and wonder what exactly was going on.

While the news of this was enough to spark excitement among fans, the mural keeps on giving. On Friday, some of her followers made the trek to the mural only to find that the logo had already been painted over with a lighter shade of purple.

The user said she spoke to the security guard, who said they would be painting it several times over the next week. A painter working on the mural was also seen wearing a “vampire” shirt, a nod to the singer’s hit ballad.
Hopefully I’m not gonna eat my words but I don’t think the album is gonna be purple because in my opinion the purple is getting lighter and slowly fading away and pink is now an undertone. @Olivia Rodrigo @livies hq 💜 #oliviarodrigo #oliviarodrigofan #OR3 #oliviaiscoming #fyp

By Saturday night, a user posted a video showing that the wall had become a light shade of pink, resembling what the “good 4 you” singer wore to the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party on Sunday.

There was also a fan whose TikTok video asked Amazon’s Alexa when Olivia Rodrigo’s third album would be released, to which it answered “July 18” and listed Charli XCX as a featured artist.

The mural is the latest of the new music teases that Rodrigo has sprinkled in anticipation of her upcoming project. Earlier this year, the singer took to her social media to post a toast to 2026, captioning the carousel with “hi 2026!!!!! 😎😎😎😎.” The photo dump featured a flick of a golf cart with the words “The Album” written on the side. Is this another hint for the new album? That is yet to be confirmed, but perhaps it’s another piece of the puzzle.
