San Jose police arrested three suspects on Monday following an attack on two Jewish men at Santana Row.
The incident happened March 8 where two men were assaulted as they were waiting for a table an upscale restaurant, police said.
One of the two victims was knocked out cold and required stitches. The other victim was badly cut and bruised. Both were hospitalized.
The victims did not want to identified.
Police issued a warrant for the arrests, and the suspects surrendered without incident.
SJPD originally investigated this as a possible hate crime as antisemitic language was also allegedly used during the incident, according to SJPD’s assault unit.

Officials say the suspects are facing felony and misdemeanor charges and do not face hate crime allegations at this time.
“In order to file hate crime charges, we have to have evidence to know what’s going on in a perpetrator’s mind. It’s very difficult to find that kind of evidence. We look very carefully and closely for it. We do file hate crime charges in our county. We have not filed hate crime charges in this case, but that could change based on more information or evidence that comes forward,” said Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen.
DA Rosen says the three suspects are 18, 20, and a 32- year-old man, who is an attorney.
They are scheduled to be arraigned on May 12.
