Scorching hot temps continue this week in Los Angeles, but thankfully we’ve got some fun to-dos to distract from the swelter.

St. Patrick’s Day Festivities at The Original Farmers Market (March 17) – FA > The annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration at The Original Farmers Market on Tuesday offers an afternoon event featuring Irish fare from select vendors including Magee’s Kitchen, who will be serving their world famous corned beef, cabbage and potato plate all day long. Tam O’Shanter St. Patty’s Day Bash -> Tam O’Shanter’s annual St. Patty’s Day returns Tuesday with an epic day that includes Irish food, live bands, kegs, green beer, special giveaways and more. Guests without a lunch or dinner reservation inside may join the party with a $10 cover charge. Walk-in space will be limited, and advance tickets are available via OpenTable. St. Patrick’s Day Parking Lot Party at The Cat & Fiddle -> Celebrate over four decades of tradition at The Cat & Fiddle with a St. Patrick’s Day bash this Tuesday. Starting at noon, this all-day parking-lot party is part of the Re:Her Women’s History Month Festival and features a full spread of Irish-inspired fare, including traditional corned beef and cabbage, Guinness chocolate cake, and roasted cauliflower for vegetarians. Dungeons & Shakespeare – M > Worlds of high drama and high fantasy collide at Dynasty Typewriter this Wednesday, when Dungeons & Shakespeare comes to the stage. In this unscripted, high-stakes adventure, the narrative is determined by audience choices and the literal roll of giant dice on stage. Whether Hamlet survives a beholder or Lady Macbeth outwits a dragon depends entirely on chance and the “players” in the room. Tickets are $15 plus fees. Gorillaz House of Kong Exhibition – > Following its acclaimed London debut, Gorillaz have brought House of Kong to Downtown L.A. for a limited four-week immersive run at Rolling Greens DTLA. The exhibition invites fans inside the band’s animated universe, tracing the misadventures, music, and virtual innovation of Murdoc, 2D, Russel, and Noodle. You can also shop merch from the band’s discography and one-of-a-kind collectibles at a gift shop that serves as the gateway into the larger House of Kong experience. What A Wonderful World: An Audiovisual Poem – FA > The Julia Stoschek Foundation has taken over all six floors of the Variety Arts Theater with What A Wonderful World: An Audiovisual Poem, marking the first U.S. presentation of the renowned collection. The immersive exhibition blurs the boundaries between art and cinema, pairing major video works by artists like Marina Abramović, Doug Aitken, Paul McCarthy, and Wolfgang Tillmans with silent and classic films by pioneers including Alice Guy-Blaché, Georges Méliès, Luis Buñuel, and Walt Disney, turning viewers into active participants in a sensory journey. Keeping Score at BroadStage -> This March Thursday to Sunday, Santa Monica-born choreographer Jacob Jonas makes his long-awaited BroadStage debut with a trilogy of autobiographic work exploring the nature of healing. Keeping Score features three unique works which will be presented over three days as part of an immersive, full-bodied dance experience. Tickets start at $35 for individual performances. WORDTheatre presents The Ocean: Our Liquid Universe -> This Thursday, experience a star-studded, one-night-only celebration of the sea at the historic Saban Theatre.
