California Highway Patrol said a bicyclist died after being struck by a car on March 14 along Davis Road in Salinas. The crash happened near Central Avenue and caused Davis to be shut down for hours.According to officers at the scene, the bicyclist was traveling south on Davis in dark clothing.Investigators said a truck traveling in the same direction struck the bicyclist. Officers said two other vehicles also struck the bicyclist.She was identified by the Monterey County Coroner’s Office as 63-year-old Linda Theresse Munoz of Salinas. Law enforcement doesn’t believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash and said the drivers involved are cooperating with the investigation.The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
