SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — An unprecedented heat wave is hitting the Bay Area, with record hot temperatures expected this week.
Monday is day one of the five-day heat wave across the Bay Area.

Each afternoon this week, we do expect records to be broken.
There is a high chance we will also see the hottest March temperatures ever recorded in the Bay Area. For many cities, that would be 90 degrees or higher.

A Heat Advisory is in effect through Friday evening, with a Moderate to Major heat risk all week.

Wednesday – Friday are expected to be the hottest days.
This level affects people sensitive to heat, especially those without access to cooling and hydration. Keep in mind this is our first heat wave of the year, and we haven’t seen these temperatures since September.
