The Silver Creek Raiders will venture away from home to challenge the Piedmont Hills Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Silver Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they’ve averaged 11.4 runs per game this season.

Silver Creek is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Saratoga on Monday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 9-2. The Raiders’ loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Silver Creek saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Malerie Ramirez, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, Piedmont Hills entered their tilt with Prospect on Thursday with five consecutive wins but they’ll enter their next game with six. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Pirates have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday’s blowout was nothing new.

Alicia Valladarez made a splash no matter where she played. She didn’t allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn’t tossed less than 12 strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter’s box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Isabella Flores was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Camila Delgado Yescas was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Piedmont Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Prospect only posted an OBP of .167.

Silver Creek’s defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Piedmont Hills, their record now sits at 6-1.

Both the two teams just can’t seem to miss. Silver Creek has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.1 hits per game. However, it’s not like Piedmont Hills struggles in that department as they’ve been averaging only 2.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Silver Creek suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Piedmont Hills in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We’ll find out soon enough.
