Mark Hamill is set to make a rare convention appearance this summer as the legendary Star Wars actor headlines the newly announced Fan Expo Anaheim: Special Edition. The event will take place June 26 through June 28, 2026, at the Anaheim Convention Center, marking the first time the Fan Expo brand has brought one of its signature conventions to Anaheim.
Hamill, best known for playing Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise as well as his extensive voice acting career, including his acclaimed performance as the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series, will appear throughout the weekend for panels, autograph sessions, and photo opportunities with fans. During a previous Fan Expo appearance in Chicago, Hamill reflected on his relationship with fans, saying:
“I want to thank you all. I’ve said this many times, if it weren’t for the fans, I wouldn’t be here. You have been so loyal and so committed throughout.”
Fan Expo Anaheim: Special Edition Will Celebrate Multiple Fandoms

The special edition event will feature Fan Expo’s usual mix of celebrity guests, comic creators, voice actors, and cosplay programming. Organizers say the show will also include shopping experiences, panels, gaming content, and interactive fan experiences. Additional celebrity guests and programming details are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Andrew Moyes, Vice President of Fan Expo HQ, said the event reflects the company’s goal of expanding its presence in one of the most active fan communities in the world. “Southern California is home to one of the most vibrant fandom communities anywhere in the world,” Moyes said in a statement. “Mr. Hamill’s career is beyond iconic, and his connection to fans is truly inspiring. We’d been looking for an opportunity to bring a special experience to fans in Anaheim, so when he approached us, we jumped at the chance to present a Special Edition show. Our mission is always to create once-in-a-lifetime celebrations of the fandoms that bring us together, and this event will do just that.”

Tickets for Fan Expo Anaheim: Special Edition are currently on sale, including single-day passes, three-day badges, and premium VIP experiences. Special packages connected to Hamill’s appearance, including photo opportunities, autograph access, and priority panel seating, will go on sale March 24. Fans interested in attending can also sign up for updates about additional guest announcements and programming details as the event approaches.
