Firefighters responded a fire Tuesday morning at a vacant church in Los Angeles’ Mid City area.
The fire was reported at about 9:30 a.m. in the 8000 block of West Helms Place. The roof of the boarded up church collapsed, forcing firefighters to operate from outside the structure.
The fire was knocked down in 23 minutes, the LAFD said. Details about how the fire started were not immediately available.
No injuries were reported.
