SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A woman was arrested after she entered the Natomas Unified School District’s Education Center and refused to leave.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, the woman, described as a protester, went inside the building along the 1900 block of Arena Boulevard. Both the district and police said she refused to leave the area, even after a request from law enforcement.

The school district said the Education Center is currently closed to the public, and the woman wasn’t authorized to be on-site.

“All visitors are expected to follow established security protocols and respect facility guidelines. Exterior signage clearly indicates who individuals can contact for assistance and how to access support from the District,” the district said in a statement.

Police said the woman was trespassed from the building and was advised to leave but continued to refuse. She was then arrested on trespassing charges.
