Daren Duane Roland Fatally Injured in Anaheim Street Accident [Long Beach, CA]

Pedestrian Dies in Long Beach Traffic Crash

Long Beach, CA (March 18, 2026) – Daren Duane Roland, 65, of Long Beach, was killed in an Anaheim Street accident Wednesday night.

The deadly traffic accident happened before 8 p.m. on Redondo Avenue.

Responding officers located the victim lying in the roadway, suffering from injuries. 

Immediately, the rescuers rushed Roland to an area hospital, wherein he died the following day.

According to the authorities, Roland was walking north on Redondo Avenue when he was hit by a 2011 Camry traveling west on Anaheim Street.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Moreover, officers said speed, distracted driving, or impaired driving, did not play a role in the deadly crash.
