The second TGL season is coming to a close just as the PGA Tour begins to ramp up. Tuesday saw two TGL semifinal matches that determined next week’s finals.
The action began with the first matchup of the night, which pitted Atlanta Drive GC vs. Los Angeles Golf Club. The night concluded with Jupiter Links vs. Boston Common Golf.
The latter match would have ideally seen two legends go head-to-head, but had just one. Rory McIlroy played Tuesday, while Tiger Woods (Jupiter Links) continued to sit out after disc replacement surgery he received in October.
It will be Los Angeles Golf Club and Jupiter Links that will face off against each other in the 2026 TGL Final. Here’s how the semi-finals played out:

The 2026 TGL Finals are set following McIlroy’s missed par shot. Jupiter would go on to defeat Boston Common after they were put to bed behind Homa’s last shot to give Jupiter another two points. They won the match 9-3, and Homa delivered an imitation of Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and his “night night” celebration.
Jupiter extends lead in Hole 12
A back-and-forth battle in Hole 11, as Jupiter answered every hole from BC Golf.
Kim was just two feet away from a birdie. Jupiter threw another hammer, but this time Boston Common declined. Jupiter would add another point to their total, going up 7-3, after Hole 12.
Hammer thrown in Hole 10 give Jupiter advantage
Woods decided to throw the hammer, to which Boston accepted. McIlroy could’ve tied the hole but whiffed it. Instead of tying the game, Jupiter added an extra points to take a 6-3 lead going into Hole 11.
Kim came through in Hole 9 to give Jupiter a 4-3 lead as they eye a TGL Finals appearance against the Los Angeles Golf Club. Now, the battle will go to triples and then singles, match play.
“I think everyone should buckle their seat belts. It’s going to be a fun one,” Kim told ESPN’s Marty Smith.
Boston Common responds in Hole 8
Scott sent one through the roof, but it was Jupiter’s Bhatia who missed a par shot in Hole 8, which awarded Boston the hole, tying it at 3-3.
Jupiter grabs lead through Hole 7
Jupiter came out swinging. Kim helped Jupiter take a 3-2 lead after Hole 7.
Neck-and-neck battle between Jupiter and Boston Common
After six holes the score remained tied at 2. With three holes left, this match can come down to the final hole, making for a dramatic finish.
After Hole 4, it was tied after McIlroy took a shot which ended up going into the simulated trees, a penalty. Homa fired back with a 322-yard straight shot down the middle. Kim took one out the sand. It was McIlroy’s missed birdie that allowed Jupiter to tie it at 2.
Both teams seem to be exchanging blow after blow. McIlroy helped BC Golf bounce back to regain a 2-1 lead, after he squeezes in a 17-foot shot.
Tiger Woods enjoys being a “coach”
Tiger Woods, although, can’t be out there to participate has been enjoying his time as a manager.
“I am just having fun as the team manager of the ‘Bad News Bears,'” Woods told ESPN’s Marty Smith. “We are the best. We have a great time with each other. The group texts are fantastic. I just like being with these guys. These are a great group of guys.”
Woods’ message: “Just Win Holes”
Max Homa chipped in an eagle shot to give Jupiter some life, after a clean set up from Tom Kim. McIlroy just nearly missed his next try, veering to the right.
Jupiter tied it at one, apiece after Hole 2.
Boston took hole 1 to open the gates, 1-0, against Jupiter. BC Golf hopes to continue their streak this season, as they are 3-0 when taking the first lead of the match.
A birdie shot from Adam Scott gave Boston their lead.
Jupiter Links vs. Boston Common Golf: Who will meet LA finals?
Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama are hoping to get to the TGL finals to face LAGC, but first they have to get past Jupiter Links with Tiger Woods, Max Homa, Tom Kim and Kevin Kisner.
Although Woods is out of competition post-surgery, Jupiter has surpassed its season accomplishment from the inaugural 2025 season. Jupiter posted a 1-4 record and didn’t qualify for the playoffs. This year, they snuck in at 2-2, and now they are a win away from a trip to the finals. Filling in for Woods is Akshay Bhatia.
Boston Common Golf are having a similar turnaround. In the very first TGL season, BC Golf did not register a single win, only winning 16 holes as a team. They turned it around in 2026, leading the standings at 4-1 and the most holes won, 30.
Poor approach shot for Gotterup gives LA the win
Despite Hole 15 being a Par 5, both Fleetwood and Gotterup were able to reach the green in two shots. Gotterup left his shot on the far edge of the green though, giving him a very long putt for eagle. While Fleetwood’s shot did not land on the green, he was pin high and much closer to the pin, giving him a pretty easy chip and look at birdie.
The pressure was on Gotterup to make the 40 foot putt, but he left it short. Fleetwood’s chip wound up just 3 feet from the hole, giving him an easy tap-in to secure the win.
Los Angeles crawls all the way back from down 4-1, scoring five straight to win the match and secure a spot in the TGL Finals.
Atlanta throws final hammer before final hole
With another Los Angeles win on Hole 14, all Atlanta could do was throw their hammer pre-tee shot, which Los Angeles had to accept. A win for Atlanta here would not even win the match, merely send it to overtime. This is a last ditch effort to stay alive. Atlanta is riding with Chris Gotterup, while Los Angeles’ Tommy Fleetwood will look to at least tie the hole in order to secure the win for LA.
Justin Rose hits 14 foot putt to win Hole 13
It may be Patrick Cantlay’s 34th birthday, but Justin Rose is ruining it for him.
After a masterful approach shot from Cantlay was made null by Rose’s great putt, the pressure was on the birthday boy to keep this match tied. The putt was so important that Atlanta even used a timeout to give themselves as much time as possible to line the putt up. Still, Cantlay couldn’t sink it, pushing his putt to the right of the hole.
Suddenly, Los Angeles is in front 5-4, their first lead of the night.
Horschel hits solid putt to tie 11
We’ve still got several holes in this match, but already Atlanta has hit three putts of at least 10 feet, tying their season best this year. Horschel and Theegala tied on Hole 11; the score remains knotted at 4 apiece.
LA ties it up, uses second hammer
While Los Angeles managed to win Hole 10 and tie this match up, they also used their second hammer in a situation where they didn’t need to. While using a hammer and coming away with no points is the worst case scenario, this was still poor hammer management from Los Angeles and that could cost them in the long run.
Chris Gotterup costs Atlanta big time
Hole 9 was a difficult hole with a large bunker considered out of play in the middle of the hole. Gotterup found that bunker, giving Atlanta a penalty off the tee. Los Angeles didn’t fare much better, putting their te shot in the rough, but a great recovery from Justin Rose gave Los Angeles all the leeway they needed to take Hole 9. Los Angeles even threw their first hammer before reaching the green.
Suddenly, they’ve crawled back into contention. It’s 4-3 Atlanta, but Los Angeles holds a ton of momentum going into singles.
As great as Atlanta has been thus far, they had an opportunity to tie Hole 8, but the team pulled their putt just left, giving Los Angeles a much needed win as we approach Hole 9. It’s 4-2 Atlanta.
Missed putt gives Atlanta another point
Despite great approach shots from both teams, a missed putt from Sahith Theegala put all the pressure on Los Angeles. Atlanta retorted by throwing their second hammer of the match already. Although Atlanta’s putt to win was no gimme (estimated a 68% chance to make according to the broadcast), Los Angeles opted to surrender the hole and take the one-point loss. It’s now 4-1 Atlanta heading into the 7th hole.
An early deficit is meant to be overcome, and Los Angeles has struck back with their first point on Hole 4 thanks to a 24 foot putt from Justin Rose.
Hole 5 was just the second tie of the match thus far. Los Angeles still has a long way to go in order to catch up.
Big time players make big time plays in big time moments. Patrick Cantlay lands a medium putt to take Hole No. 3, and Atlanta Drive GC has gotten out to a sizable 3-0 lead through three holes thanks to a hammer throw.
Los Angeles, Atlanta trade birdies
Atlanta had a great opportunity to take a 2-0 lead early on with a moderate putt for eagle. They could not capitalize. Los Angeles had their own shot at an eagle, but from 59 feet. A great putt set Los Angeles up just 4 feet from the cup, but the pressure was on Atlanta, and clearly that pressure was too much. It remains 1-0 Atlanta Drive GC.
Sahith Theegala winds up in the sand on Hole 1
Not a great start for Los Angeles. After two terrific tee shots from both sides, Atlanta got the advantage with Billy Horschel landing his shot just 14 feet from the cup with a chance to earn the opening point. Chris Gotterup would sink it, giving Atlanta the early lead on a birdie.
