The Greatest Jeopardy Contestant of all time and the current host of the game show, Ken Jennings, thrilled an audience today at the Saroyan Theater in Downtown Fresno.

Jennings took the stage at the San Joaquin Valley Town Hall speaker series.

He answered questions from a group of high school honors students prior to the show.

Action News caught up with him backstage to talk about Jeopardy and lifelong learning as the key to success.

“But I’ve learned a lot from Jeopardy about just how to be a person and what works in the world and what doesn’t work, and a lot of it is just the power of knowledge, just being a curious person, always trying to learn as much as you can every day in many ways. I’m a big believer in that,” he said.

Jennings says his dad was a big fan of author William Saroyan and he grew up reading and loving the Fresno native’s books.

I had the pleasure of introducing Jennings at today’s Town Hall, as well as six former Jeopardy contestants from Fresno, including the “Voice of the Bulldogs” Paul Loeffler, who was in the Teen Tournament in the 1990’s.
