Raising Cane’s has opened yet another new location in Los Angeles, this time in the epicenter of the city’s Hollywood tourist hub – right next door to the TCL Chinese Theatre, in fact. March 19 is the location’s first day of operation, just a few blocks north of the recently-opened Sunset Boulevard location.

“The Hollywood Walk of Fame restaurant is focused on tourism right in the heart of Hollywood,” area leader of restaurants James Kook said. “That restaurant is a non-traditional venue for us and doesn’t have a drive-thru. Our location on Sunset and Highland has a drive-thru but [6800 Sunset Blvd.] will be temporary as there is a development planned there. We are currently building another Raising Cane’s down the road off Sunset and Tamarind.”

The TCL Hollywood location, Kook explained, will be specifically geared toward visitors exploring the sites along Hollywood Boulevard, including neighboring Madame Tussauds Hollywood, the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, El Capitan Theatre and Ovation Hollywood shopping complex.

“Bringing our Craveable Chicken Finger Meals to people visiting Los Angeles and the Hollywood Walk of Fame is a great way to introduce our brand and create Caniacs along the way,” Kook said. “The Hollywood Walk of Fame sees over 10 million visitors a year. For us it was a perfect opportunity to be a part of the iconic history of the area.”

And Angelenos can look out for Cane to raise beyond Hollywood, too.

“Raising Cane’s is expanding – we expect to open 100 more restaurants across the U.S. this year with nine additional L.A.-area restaurants slated to open between May and November alone. Our next flagship restaurant will be in Los Angeles near Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, with other key restaurants in Westwood Village and Santa Monica at Third Street Promenade opening ahead of the 2026 World Cup,” Kook said.

The opening day for Hollywood includes a DJ, swag giveaways and a caricature artist. The first 100 customers will receive a branded hat and a “Box Combo Card,” which can be used at a later date. The first customer gets a gift basket, too.

Expanding into California was a longtime goal for the franchise. The first location opened in 1996 in Baton Rouge, La. Since then, it has expanded throughout the United States – including Times Square in New York City and even to international locations such as Kuwait and Dubai. In the 2020s, the restaurant has finally made a significant footprint in the Golden State.

“Our owner and founder, Todd Graves, had to come up with money for his first ever Raising Cane’s in part by working at California oil refineries in the mid-‘90s, including one in El Segundo. This fostered a long-term desire to expand here, and we’ve been able to bring our [brand] to Los Angeles,” Kook said.

The new location is located at 6933 Hollywood Blvd. For information, visit raisingcanes.com or call (323)201-2926.
