History enthusiasts, rejoice! The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire returns to Irwindale this April, bringing artisans, costumed performers, delicious fare, and knights in shining armor to this legendary event, delighting hundreds of thousands of visitors… Less than an hour from Los Angeles.
The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire
The Renaissance Pleasure Faire is a lively celebration featuring over 125 skilled artisans, merchants, and vendors showcasing a wide array of handcrafted treasures. From glassblowing and leatherworking to blacksmithing, candle making, and pottery, visitors can watch ancient crafts come alive.
But the main event is definitely the fully armored joust, where riders engage in three separate tournament‑style matches throughout the day on galloping horses, charging with lances and showcasing an authentic Renaissance combat spectacle.
Other activities include archery, ax-throwing, or javelin, a spin on the Maypole Carousel or Dragon Swing, and for the little ones, there’s a petting zoo they can explore.

Over the decades, it has grown into an interactive playground and showcase for more than 200,000 visitors each year, inspiring a nationwide Renaissance festival movement.
Since opening, over 5 million people from around the world have attended SoCal’s Renaissance Pleasure Faire, averaging roughly 20,000 guests each weekend, making it the largest on the West Coast.
