MISSION VIEJO, CA — As prices at the pump climb toward uncomfortable highs, Orange County residents received some welcomed news this week: A new, but familiar, option opening up in June.
Costco will be opening its first standalone gas station in the country in Orange County.
It’s expected to open by late June in Mission Viejo, according to city officials.
The location will be more than 17,000 square-feet with 40 fueling positions and will only be available to members.
The station will operate from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Saturday and be supervised by Costco employees, according to C-Store Dive.
The new station will compete with nearby Circle K, Chevron and BP.
