The Annual VFW Auxiliary Rummage Sale starts next week! It’s time to clean out your garage, storage sheds, and closets of any items you wish were gone! We will be collecting your donations from noon to 5 p.m. on March 23, 24, and 25, and the Sale Days are March 26, 27, and 28, 8 a.m. to noon daily. This is our big fundraiser event for the year, and not only offers shoppers the chance to find unique treasures but also helps raise funds to support veterans, local active-duty military personnel, and their families.
Bring us your unique and collectible items in good/like new condition: American patriotic and beach décor, sporting goods, sanitized pet gear, bikes, toys and baby items, housewares, art, jewelry, purses in good condition, scarves, small appliances, office supplies, gardening items, tools, and holiday decorations. Clothing in excellent condition only. Not accepted: athletic wear, t-shirts, shorts, undergarments, shoes, or hats. Additional items not accepted include furniture, bedding, wheelchairs, walkers, medical devices, or books.
The VFW would also like to thank everyone who attended the St. Patrick’s Day Dinner, which was held over the weekend, and received wonderful feedback from guests. Attendees enjoyed a festive evening that included an opportunity drawing with gift cards donated by many local businesses. Many thanks to the generous businesses for their support, as well as the community members who continue to support the VFW and Auxiliary throughout the year.
