UPDATE: Suspect is now in custody according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. Heavy Police presence will remain in the area for a bit of time.
BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich.—Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard is asking people to avoid the area around South Hills Middle School near Quarton Road between Telegraph and Inkster due to a nearby barricaded gunman.
The Oakland County Sheriff Office and Sheriff Bouchard posted this to his social media pages around 8:30pm Thursday night saying there was a large police presence and SWAT at South Hills middle school.
