You will soon see something new on San Diego beaches. The city has inked a deal to replace the red and white Toyota lifeguard trucks with new Hyundai vehicles.

The new deal covers five years, and could be extended to 15, reports the U/T.

Unlike the current deal with Toyota, where the city had to pay for all vehicle maintenance, Hyundai will maintain the lifeguard trucks, and that will save the city roughly 4-million dollars over the course of five years.

As part of the deal, Hyundai will sponsor Water Safety Days at beaches and bays.
