BOZEMAN, Mt. — Montana State will face San Francisco in the second round of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament after the Dons beat Utah Valley 80-50 in their first-round game Thursday night in San Francisco. The official WNIT bracket matched the winner of that game with the Bobcats, who received a first-round bye.

Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman.

Montana State entered the postseason at 25-7 and earned an automatic WNIT berth as the Big Sky Conference’s top seed that did not receive an NCAA Tournament bid. The Bobcats are making back-to-back postseason appearances for the second time in program history.
